HOW THIS REVIEW WAS MADE

We have not tested this device ourselves.

This review combines four professional reviews, two video reviews and three owner discussions. We compared portability, writing, color, battery life, document use and reMarkable’s official specifications.

The charts show how often a theme appeared across the 9 sources we coded. They are directional, not scientific scores. A report can reveal a problem, but it cannot tell us how common that problem is.

THE SHORT VERSION

The reMarkable you are most likely to have with you when an idea arrives.

Paper Pro Move shrinks reMarkable’s color display and focused software into a 7.3-inch notebook that fits small bags and some large pockets. Reviewers repeatedly praise its portability, quick-note usefulness, front light and calm interface.

The narrow page is poor for full PDFs, long handwritten passages and side-by-side thinking. Color remains muted and refreshing it can flash. The price is also high for a device designed mainly for capture rather than deep document work.

Best forPeople who want a premium pocket notebook for lists, meetings, journaling and ideas on the move.

DISPLAY & DESIGN

Small enough to change the habit, not just the bag

The 7.3-inch Canvas Color display has a 1696 × 954 resolution and an adjustable reading light. It is roughly the size of a large paperback, which makes it easier to bring into meetings, cafés and commutes than a full-size paper tablet.

The portrait canvas encourages lists and short notes. Long lines, diagrams and full-page PDFs feel constrained. Color is soft and paper-like rather than vivid, and colored content can show a visible refresh.

WRITING & WORKFLOW

Excellent for capture, less convincing for long-form work

The active Marker feels responsive and the compact page is comfortable for quick lists, meeting notes and journaling. Owners often describe Move as the device they carry, then use a larger reMarkable to review or expand the material.

It runs the same focused software as the larger models, with notebooks, layers, tags, handwriting conversion and cloud imports. There is no browser or app store, and the narrow screen makes detailed documents and lengthy notes harder to manage.

BATTERY

Reliable enough to disappear into a daily bag

reMarkable claims up to two weeks per charge. Reviews generally describe multi-day to week-scale use, with the front light, Wi-Fi and page activity affecting the result.

Heavy front-light use and frequent color refreshing reduce runtime. The claim is a guide, not continuous writing time.

WHERE TO BUY

reMarkable Paper Pro Move

Move is worth the premium when portability changes whether you carry it. If it will stay on a desk, a larger reMarkable offers much more working room.

YEINKS VERDICT

A companion notebook that succeeds by being present.

Paper Pro Move is not a shrunken workstation. Its strength is frictionless capture in places where a larger tablet stays at home. Lists, short meeting notes and daily planning suit it beautifully.

Buy Paper Pro or Paper Pure for documents and long writing. Buy Move when carrying the notebook every day matters more than seeing a full page at once.

Strong fitCommuting, lists, meetings, daily planning, travel journals and quick visual notes
Weak fitLarge PDFs, long-form handwriting, detailed diagrams, typing and value-conscious buyers
