The short version

Supernote says the price of its compact Nomad will increase by $30 USD on September 29, 2026. The change covers both the White Edition and Crystal Edition and will happen on the same day in every official regional store. Local increases may differ slightly after exchange rates, taxes and operating costs are applied.

The US store listed the Nomad at $329 when Yeinks checked on September 19. A straight $30 increase would make that $359, but Supernote has not published a complete table of future regional prices. Buyers outside the US should wait for their local storefront to show the final amount.

What changes, and what does not

The announcement is narrowly focused on the Nomad hardware. Supernote says folios, pens and other accessories will remain at their current prices. The larger Supernote Manta will also stay at its present price in global markets, apart from a separate increase in China linked to import costs after production moved to Japan.

Supernote says the adjusted Nomad price will then remain stable through the first quarter of 2027. That is a stated pricing commitment for that period, not a promise about prices later in the year.

Why Supernote is raising the price

The company points to sharp increases in component costs, especially memory modules. It says the Manta still has a profit margin, while the Nomad has reached negative margin. Supernote had previously expected moving its main manufacturing lines to Japan to create room for lower prices, but says those component increases overtook the savings.

This explanation comes from Supernote itself. Yeinks has not independently verified the company's component costs or margins.

What the change means for buyers

Anyone already planning to buy a new Nomad directly from Supernote has a clear deadline: September 28 is the last full day before the announced increase. That does not automatically make an immediate purchase the right choice. The Nomad remains a specialized 7.8-inch monochrome writing tablet with no front light; its small page is excellent for portable notes but less comfortable for large PDFs and detailed layouts.

The hardware itself is not changing in this announcement. The current model still has a 300ppi E-Ink display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with microSD expansion and a user-replaceable battery. Our Supernote Nomad review covers those practical trade-offs, while the Manta versus Nomad comparison helps decide whether the smaller format is worth choosing.

Used, open-box and third-party prices may move differently. Supernote's notice applies to its official regional stores and does not establish what an independent retailer or second-hand seller will charge.

What remains unconfirmed

Supernote has not published the post-increase price for each country. It has also not announced a new Nomad model, specification change or accessory bundle as part of this notice. The only confirmed global change is the $30 USD increase used as the basis for local adjustments on September 29.
